Achievement consists of a wide variety of factors:
- People have particular skills, attributes, needs and aspirations
- Some are optimistic others concerned by change or problem focused
- Achievement is about learning and development - some see this as a way of life, others see it as threatening to change
- Some take the view of 'if it isn't broken don't fix it', while others see a need to grow and improve
Two factors are critical in achievement:
- People's level of knowledge and skill
- People's level of motivation
At Allied Learning Systems we are sensitive to people's needs, feelings and concerns, whether they are at school, at work, retired or relating to others in life. We adopt styles in counselling, coaching and life matters that accept people as they are, take account of their knowledge, skill and motivation, and aim to improve them.
Spend a few moments thinking about these questions:
- How are you feeling about life, school or work?
- What successes are giving you satisfaction?
- Can you identify problems causing you stress and anxiety?
- How are you progressing with your objectives?
- What are your life, school or work aspirations?
- Are you taking any new initiatives?
- Are you willing to put effort in to developing yourself?
- How do you approach learning?
- Are you struggling unnessarily?
If answers give you an insight into how you might support your own development and achievement, consider how our coaching, counselling or life skill services might make you more successful. |
